Ease
We'll be honest. The reason many people consider doing a private sale instead of trading in with a dealership is that they can often get a little more money. While this is true, we do want to remind people that selling a vehicle isn't usually a fast or easy process. You have to:
Get the vehicle detailed (or give it a really, really good cleaning)
Take a bunch of pictures
Post them to a sales site
Find all your service information
After that, you have to wade through all the responses, many of which reveal that people clearly didn't take the time to read your well-crafted ad. And if you're selling your current luxury vehicle before getting into another one, you have to filter out serious buyers vs those who want to go on joy test drive.
It doesn't end there.
Once you have some prospects, you have to give them your personal address (or meet them somewhere), and we know how traffic in San Francisco can get so be prepared for late arrivers.
With us, you don't go through any of that hassle, though it's always nice to give the car a general cleaning before trading it in! Another perk is that you won't hear from us on your trade-in again, unlike someone who buys from you privately and may want to return it for some unknown reason a week or two later.
Speed
As you can see from the above, selling your current vehicle is a process and it can take several weeks and sometimes even months. Do you want your vehicle to sit in front of your San Mateo house and have a "For Sale" sign in it for that long? We didn't think so.
When you do a dealership trade-in you simply bring your vehicle in for a review and we can take care of of it the same day. Because people who buy or lease a new Audi are often very busy with work and spending their little free time with friends and family, so we know that expediency is crucial.
Financial Benefits
Currently, California is not a state that gives you a tax credit if you trade-in a vehicle when you buy a new one. However, there are still financial benefits to trading in with us.
- It's a way to help lower your monthly car payment or down payment
- You can take out a smaller auto loan
- The money goes directly to the vehicle and you don't have to worry about spending it anywhere else like you might with a private sale; just think of all those tempting stores in Palo Alto
